Dark red, brownish. Good head that holds nice. Moderated sourness, but not overwhelming, sweetened gets trough more. Cherish fruits, lightly hops. Drinkeable and refreshing.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2011 Bottle from Beer Tempel. Dark red body with medium head. Nose quite sweet and malty. Taste of cherry and quite sour. Not what I was expecting. Certainly no Brune. Didn’t drink much more of it.

An alright brown sour ale. Nothing too special about it, there’s better stuff in the same category.

Sharp sour brown beer in the Duchesse du Bourgogne mode. This beer is sweeter and with a herby medicinal note in the finish. Very nice.

(bottle, 25cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly beige foamy head. Moderately acidic-fruity and mildly roasted malty aroma with notes of red berries and a whiff of caramel. Sour-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Initially fruity and vinegary taste with a quite well-blended malty and slightly sugary sweetness towards the finish, accompanied by a slightly roasty and shy woody touch. Nice but a tad too sweet. 02.XI.10

[330ml bottle, Delirium Café, Brussels] Totally random pick from the massive menu at Delirium in Brussels. Dark brown pour from a bottle with a dirty and ripped label. Thankfully the beer inside was pretty good. Nice example of a bruin, with a touch of sweetness that counteracted the more acrid flavours from the tart yeasts. Quite bitter but not as puckering as Rodenbach. Refreshing stuff [10032010]

Bottle 0,35ltr: Another Vanuxeem brew now brewed at Verhaeghe, Clear reddish/brown with an sweet sour taste. Just like this commisioned brew too, they must build their own brewery on the undeveloped land next to their shop, and become the first brewery in the Hainaut enclave.

Bottle 25cl. An amber brown ale with nice head and good carbonation. Smell is typically on oude bruin beers, some vinegar smell and good cherry and burnt notes. Aroma is nice not too acid, but with a metallic finish. Nice cherry and malt flavor.

Pours a reddish brown color. Aromas of dark fruit, yeast, and a touch of wood. Flavor is tart, yeast, wood, not as sour as I would like. Kinda Blah.
