33cl bottle. Dark red with medium, dirty head. Nose : tart, yeast, cooked cherries and other fruits. Sip : oily and smooth. Good carbonation. Sweet with strong cherry notes. A bit caramel makes it think of coca cola. Sour and cloying sweet.

Decent Vlaams Oud Bruin beer. Sourrish, with a taste of oaky malt. Always a nice style.

Bottle (330 ml). Amber/brown with a small beige head and light lacing. Aroma is awful as the beer seems to be clearly infected.... there’s heavy ketchup notes, caramel and light wood notes along medicinal and metallic notes. Taste isn’t better and also dominated by ketchup and caramel, but the medicinal presence is just awful. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Very weak brew. I’m not sure this one would be any good even without the infection. I don’t plan to revisit.

Aroma has earthy mushrooms and vinegar. Flavour is tart but has a savoury edge. Not so good.

33cl bottle - nose is berry and sour. Sweet. Malty for the style. Citric sweat on the nose. Strike 23,822 for the style.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Bottle, 25cL. Home. A clear sparkling dark brown beer. Red mahogany hues through the light. Medium beige foam. Medium persistence. Good lacing. Aroma of vinegar, fruit (cherry), roasty malt and caramel. First medium sweet, then sour-acid waves. A bit too sugary sweet. Medium to light body, slick thin texture, average carbonation, light sour finish with a warming note. Overall, a good sour red/brown beer. Refreshing, pleasant to drink but a bit too SWEET-sour. 8-5-7-4-17 3/23/2014

Redbrown beer that doesn’t know if it wants to be a brown beer or a fruitbeer, but ends up being a lousy example of either sort.
