Poured a light clear yellow, with an 1 inch or so head, very mild, some spice to it, but very little else, alcohol is well hidden, a Easy drinking strong ale, I usually try to enjoy these, but before I knew it, it was gone, boring brew.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Didn’t know it was Van Steenberge, but just tasted familiar... Golden coloured beer, the typical yeast of VS combined with the spices they use in more then one brew it seems. Nothing outstanding, instead, a bit like "got this one before"... Not bad, nothing special. Mostly sweet, malts, yeast, slightly citrus and good spiced.

Nine percent booze, egads, that explains a lot. So does the fact that Van Steenberge makes it. Would not be surprised if this was a label beer identical to any number of Steenberge tripels/strong blondes. Not that they’d fess up to it. About Vanuxeem: By my count they have four beers made by three different breweries. After trying the excellent brune from Verhaeghe, this was a supreme disappointment. The barman didn’t give me the bottle to examine so I was left to my own devices. Poured a pale gold with thin, white head. Did have a nice nose, with funky cider and pear notes and a touch of booze. Taste was quite sweet, fruity, lightly bitter with a bunch more of that alcohol showing through. Out of balance, for my own tastes. A bit tough to swallow at the end. It’s a shame that the name "Queue de Charrue" tells you nothing about what the beer will be like, these contract brews are all over the map.

very interesting aroma, some wheat, spices, many spices!! Small flat had and pale golden. Yeast, cookie dough on the palate, weak finish with a doughie feeling on the tongue. Nice but nothing to remember

Bottle from Kris Wines. Golden with a foamy white head that left a nice lace. Sweet yeasty citrus aroma with a taste much the same. Pear, orange and grapefruit notes and a dry bitter soapy finish. Alcohol is apparent. A run of the mill blonde.
