aromas of caramel and apple. nice orange-brown colour, with short-lived off-white head. Tastes of caramel, with some grassy notes, light spices and some nice bitter on the back-end. you’ll notice the quality of this one really deteriorates as the temperature falls. Overall, a great session beer, that’s easy to come by in newfoundland!

Really nice looking dark orange pour with a short lived thick off-white head. Aroma is bread and malt. A little caramel and toast. Some light toffee. Flavor is a little sweet, malty, bready, a bit of biscuit. Perfectly drinkable but really unmemorable. I’d drink this by the pitcher and not think about it.

355ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a small white head and a few spots of lace. Aroma is mild hops and a hint of grain. Taste is light malty sweetness with a mild hoppy bitter finish. A decent brew but not a great example of this style.

Bottle from the brewery via Adam, thanks! Pours light copper in colour, moderate white head. Aroma and taste are nice sweet malt, a modest hopping. Not bad.

Single bottle from a mixed 6-pack. Colour: A dark urine yellow with minimal head. Nose: Some dark grained bread. Ketchup. Faint traces of vanilla. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. Some bitter citrus here. Light seedy presence. Finish is quiet. Drinkable.

It pours an amber color with a small 1 finger white head that settles to a cap, it has some small lacing. The aroma has a carmel sweetness and some biscuit, I even get a little fruit. The flavor is dominated by a sweet malt, I also pick up carmel, floral notes. It has some hints of metallic. It finishes with a lingering sweetness and some real strong malts. Amber’s can be actually decent if they are done correctly. I find that rarely ever happens though. It is ok but nothing to write home about.

Old rate. Sampled in Gander Newfoundland. Pours a clear medium amber with a small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavour is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Kinda grainy and husky, and on the sweet side, but not that bad.

Flavors of of over sweetened cereal, wheat, corn, rotten fruits, cornbread. Lively bubbles. Medium dryness. Slight stickiness on the aftertaste.
