1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2011 After becoming more beer aware, I now realize I was a bit to lenient on this product mainly because it was a local product. To be honest, itís not as good as I thought it was the first time I reviewed it. I still like it much better than most of Quidi Vidiís other products though.
Aroma: slight smell of corn (meh), Pours light urine color witbh a quick evaporating head, slightly sweet taste with a tweet aftertase. Not too offensive, but not overly great either.

Aroma of mild malt. Pale yellow color. Starts off sort of sweetish, finishes sort of skunky. Yep thats it.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
341 ml bottle from a liquor store in Newfoundland via my parents, served cold in a small shaker glass. Faintly metallic with light grainy sweetness, a little bread, faintly sour, possibly a little skunk. Medium body, fairly full carbonation. Sweet grains, faint noble hops, still a touch...sour?; basically dry, low bitterness, slightly sweet, grainy finish. Beatty bottle and concept. Boring beer.

[6628-20140815] Bottle. Straw yeasty plastic aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Straw cardboard flavour. Light body. Terrible but Iím glad to have tried it -- love the name. (4/2/3/2/8) 1.9

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2014-08-15. Crisp pale yellow body with a small white head fades. Aroma is sweet, with an earthy mushroom like character. Flavour is sweetish, simple pale malt. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Pretty dull, but not terrible. Interesting to try. Bottle from NFLD via my parents

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle, shared by jercraigs CGBD 2014. Pretty well up there (or should I say down there?) with the worst of the macro Pale Lagers out there. Poured a pale light straw body with a minimal fizzy white head. Nose is cardboard, corn, straw, and maybe a touch of pale malt. The flavor is much the same, what little of it there is. Not convinced this is old, I just think the cardboard flavor is the natural taste of this. Light bodied and fizzy with a watery finish. Another awful Pale Lager, but it is a Province tick.

1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very disappointing. I was excited to try a Newfoundland brewery, but got carbonated water. It was more of a palate cleanser at the beer fest I went to. Cool idea to use glacial water, but they forgot the other ingredients.
