A level headed, charismatic IPA full of fresh orange grapefruit and mango aromas. For those who prefer to toast, rather than boast.

Bottle from Beer Cartel (Feb 2014). Cloudy orange/amber, quite musty aroma, taste a bit of cardboard, some sweet caramel, restrained bitterness, very little hop aroma. Quite a let down.

Draught at Alehouse 24, Yamanto, Queensland. Poured clouded orangey amber colour with a thin white collar that laced poorly. Carbonation too low and fine. Aroma of nice floral hops that do not over-power everything else, sweetish caramel malt, hint of citrus and a hint of earthiness. Taste of sweet citrus which remain throughout, even after the bitterness kicks in. Light body. Finish long semi-sweet with a nice bitterness. Quite decent.

Pours a hazy pale amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, citrus and some hops. Taste is light to medium sweet leading to a moderate hoppy finish. OK.

330ml bottle from Brewhouse Brisbane. Looks okay but lacks flavour. Not as good as the other Quiet Deeds beers I have had.

330mL Pours a slightly hazy pale gold body, small white head. Decent aroma of passionfruit and ripe tropical fruits, a bit of light caramelly malt underneath, and a touch of rust...? Full body, medium carbonation, slight oiliness to the palate. Quite simple despite the inviting aroma; light caramel malts, touch of hop fruitiness but nothing to get carried away with. Reasonably decent bitterness, slightly odd butyric note lingers. Certainly the standout of the range (to date), but quite uninteresting.

This is a very good and almost sessionable IPA. I had it with a burger and wasn’t bloated afterwards.

On tap. Delicious aromas of smoky hop, some caramel too. Didn’t look all that flash- a bright amber with a medium thin head. But the mouthfeel was incredible- smooth and buttery, with the carbonation just right. I got flavours of caramel, peach and some stone fruit. On the sweet side perhaps, but I found it juicy, chewy, and delicious.
