COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with 4 different malts and the addition of fresh Aussie Cascade and US Amarillo hops, Quiet Deeds Pale Ale provides a unique floral nose and a complex citrus tone on the palate. Warm gold in colour, medium full body with high carbonation. Overall smooth finish, cleansing and refreshing with a lingering bitter finish.

Pours a hazy orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, light fruit, caramel and some hops. Taste is light to medium sweet leading to a light hoppy finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours lightly clear but mostly hazy orange gold with dense off white head and good lace. Aromas of dried apricot, light hints of caramel, grainy nutty malt aromas. Light fruity esters, off flavours, some acetone, over a lightly fruity hop character, medium light malt body, grainy, hints of caramel finishing a touch vegetal and a touch dish water like.

330ml stubbie. BB15 FEB/14. Poured a semitranslucent amber with a one-finger off-white foamy head that diminished quickly and laced poorly. Low to moderate carbonation with small bubbles forming trails. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste sweet with no bitterness. Light body bordering on watery. Not a pale ale – very lager-like.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2013 Bottled rating (August 2013): Bottle from Plonk. Clear, medium amber/copper, dried apricot sums up the aroma, some grassy hop bitterness, sweet malt, better body than on tap, but still nothing to get excited about. Original rating (April 2013): Tap at 2013 Canberra Beer Festival. Bland, watery, malt dominated, very little bitterness, not really an APA at all. This won’t change the craft beer world.

Pours amber with a small fading head. Malty aroma, with cookie dough notes and soft spicy hops along with a grainy note. More cookie dough-like malt as a flavour, some soft grainy notes and a weak bitterness in the finish. Carbonation could be a fair bit higher.
