1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 barilochebeer (1) - Bariloche, ARGENTINA - AUG 25, 2010 does not count
Quilmes Bock is lightweight in every respect. The style’s hallmark caramel, bready flavours are there but only just. Rather than being proudly paraded around the palate, like a pedigree at a Best in Show competition, the flavours make an all too brief appearance before ingloriously exiting down the throat. The bitterness never reaches any great heights so the balance of the beer is lost, leaving you feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

I say like the guy before me, Quilmes Bock is the best beer from cervecería Quilmes, wich is not too much to say
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 LucasG (19) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - JAN 25, 2010
For me, Quilmes Bock is the best beer of Cerveceria Quilmes, much better than Quilmes Cristal (lager) and Quilmes Stout
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Maverick34 (1711) - New York, USA - NOV 6, 2009
Draft in Arg. A bit sweet. Not really a bock. Just a dark latin american beer. I switched back to regular Quilmes right after, if that’s any indication.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bkurtz (578) - PERU - OCT 4, 2009
Poured dark but clear. Some burnt hops, but watery. Not bad for Latin America.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Nekronos (3184) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JUL 20, 2009
Not bad, a little out of what I know as a Bock, but it’s not the first time I find a Bock like this in Latin america. It was nice and creamy, not too strong in taste and veyr nice head.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jungheimer (16) - BRAZIL - JUN 11, 2009
A Inbev deveria fazer esse tipo de cerveja no Brasil, boa cerveja e de amargor elevado.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 altacyr (144) - Campinas, BRAZIL - FEB 21, 2009
Aroma de malte. Coloração avermelhada, com espuma fina e clara. sabor que destaca também o malte, com amargor agradável. Superior às outras versões da popular cervejaria.

The usual dark beer for starters, I introduced a lot of people to dark beers with Quilmes Bock. Watery as all Quilmes beers, but has enough body and taste to give you an impression of what a dark beer is.
