Smells a little bad, taste is a bit fuller than Quilmes cristal and I guess thatís why I remember it being alright, but fresh off decent beer it doesnít have much going for it. Slight hint of bitter, thatís it.

Not overly sweet, but not much else wither. A watery caramel mess. A gift from Winchell on his trip to Argentina.

Imbibed in December 2002. Faint, faint aroma of malt with the lightest hop flavor. Clear ruby color with a thick white head that has a tinge of tan to it. And I know where the color comes from - caramel coloring. Shame on them! Watery malt flavor with a tad of caramel. Low carbonation. Not satisfying but different than the other Quilmes beers.

Better than average only because itís not an industrial lager. Dark beers are mostly a rarity in Argentina save a few micros of spotty distribution. Standard recyclable pounder, decent color, decent taste.

Pours amber and light berown colour with a timid brown head foam. Malty nose with presence of some caramel and dough. Malty taste but refreshing, light sweetness, very light bitterness. It gets a bit flat flavour at the end. Light body, thin feel, average carbonation and a sweet and very light after taste. Ok to try.

A pretty bad bock if you ask me. Faint sweet malt taste and aroma, but pretty watery and bland.

Dark brown ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. Light caramel malt aroma, light hops, a bit artificial. In mouth, a nutty malt with light hops, light bodied, some lingering metallic notes. Some chocolate appears as it warms up. Not as bad as cristal.

Toffee colored pour with a head that sprays carbonation. Nose of cinnamon and powdered sugar on toast. Vague, strange sweetness. Tastes of sour fruit, white grapes, palpable sugars. Palate is void and very loose. Kind of intriguing for its weirdness but not in a favorable way.

Bottle in Buenos Aires. Brown color with a diminished brown head. The aroma as malts, caramel and a little ginger. Smooth and dry with a light malts, cereal and musty flavors.

on tap @Temple Bar Buenos Aires-pours a light brown head and mahogany color. Aroma is roasty medium malt, some peat. Taste is roasty medium malt, vinegar/tart fruit, yeast, some peat. All three beers on tap had the same off? notes. Light side of medium body.
