Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Nov 6, 2009 I had a few of these beers during my time in Buenos Aires, and they got the job done. The beer had light presences of barley and malt, with a tone of grainy and grassy hops too. It had a clear yellow-gold color with a slightly-bubbly, medium-sized white head that had modest cling and retention. The beer had a mostly bitter, grainy hops flavor, with some balancing malt effects. Average carbonation, without a big mouthfeel; largely dry and on the thinner side. I enjoyed having this beer while there, but it does not stand out. delnoche (214), Germany Oct 19, 2009 33cl bottle poured into a lager glass. Sparkling straw with one finger white head. Aroma is faint sweet malt. The flavor is barely there, sweet malt with the distinct taste of corn adjunct. Very water, barely carbonated. Barely anything. Hopper (285), San Antonio, Texas, USA Oct 15, 2009 A pale transparent yellow beer with a small head. Nothing good in the aroma, & the taste is like a watered down bad beer. I really do struggle giving any points to this beer, I just do not see how it deserves any. floydian1 (258), FNQ, Australia Oct 13, 2009 330ml bottle. Clear bright yellow with a short lasting white head. Nose is light grainy malts with a negligible hop presence. Taste is grains, sweetcorn, cardboard, metals, soap and a tiny citric dry hop bitterness. It is very light bodied for the ABV with a watery mouthfeel. I wasn’t expecting much but this is even worse than most Aussie macro lagers. tomer (365), Rishon Le Zion, Israel Oct 5, 2009 0.33L bottle, lasting medium head with some lacing, clear yellow colour, light aroma of hops withsome hints of washing powder, strong dominating lemony sourness with some light herbal hops and somefruitiness in the back, long sour aftertaste. Not too bad, but not too good either. Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 18, 2009 Budweiser South America. Not a whole lot more that I can say about this one. Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Sep 15, 2009 Clear yellow of color with white head. An aroma of butter, sweet malt, hops and malt. A flavor of butter, hops, citrus, metallic, bitter and dry in finish. phaleslu (428), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 13, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours clear pale yellow with a big lumpy white head. Very light aroma and flavor; grain, metallic notes, corn, malt, a little hops. Watery, can’t be much easier down the gullet, slightly sweet. I knew what to expect from a lager from this far south, but this was even lighter than most- I can’t believe a Quilmes Light exists. Still, nothing skunky or offensive about it.
