Not as bad as I expected. Very thin head and weak color. Slight malt but nothing much else. Maybe not that exciting but for some reason, goes well with most food. The finish is exactly how it started.

Hát nem csodálom, hogy Messi inkább focistának adta fejét és nem sörfőzőnek.

Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Looks like lager, smells like lager, tastes like lager. I’m not impressed. Apparently it’s "Argentina’s favourite beer" - clearly RateBeer is not big in Argentina yet!!!

Clear electric yellow. Reminds me of Urine. I’m afraid going in that this is another of those national bud clones that every country seems to produce. No head. nose is mostly of adjuncts and filler. Taste is thin, initially sweet with little depth. Body is also thin, but lively. Finishes cloyingly sweet and very simply.

Can @ hotel bar, Bueonos Aires, Argentina. Light yellow colour with almost no head. Some sweet aroma and a lot of diacetyl. Taste is sweet like corn flakes and finishes with light bitterness. Not balanced at all!

Pours a pale straw color with white head. Cereal grain on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not much else to this. Somewhat bland.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Review: Bottle of Quilmes Pale Lager, 4.9%ABV Quilmes, which comes in a lovely bottle, is another first timer for me, beer from Argentina. Would have noticed this beer name from football as it has sponsored both the great Boca Juniors and the Argentine National Football Team. Now that’s serious branding in football! Quilmes has a nice crystal clear yellow colour with a thin head and little lacing. Aroma was of a sweet malty smell with some grain in the background. Very sweet. Taste for me was interesting as I found it hard to figure it out at the start. There’s a little corn and grain sweetness to open it up, a kind of sickly sweet. It does eventually settle down into a nice decent drink and does the job in quenching the thirst. There is a bitter aftertaste which grows on you. It certainly is a very drinkable beer, light and good for a session.

Bottle 0.355 l. Typical "south lager" with some cereal taste and aroma, refreshing drink for seashore.
