omhper (17437) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2007 Bottled. Black with creamy beige head. Aroma of tar and milk chocolate. Swet and medium bodied with soft, if a bit mushy mouthfeel. There’s toffee, molasses as well as some winegums and soothing spun sugar. No bitterness. Despite being to sweet, and with a less firm maltiness than desired I find myself quite enjoying the vast array of flavours offered by this macro stout.

Bottle, Buenos Aires. Dark brown, dark sweet sugar aroma. Sweet palate, with a touch of burnt sugar bitterness. More balanced and more drinkable than most of the Brazilian macro darks.

Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2012
A dark brown stout with a thick dissipating brown head. In aroma, light nutty malt with faint chocolate and faint herbal notes. In mouth, sweet cloying caramel with faint quick chocolate, not well done. Bottle from a Coto in Rosario, 7.60 AR$ (or 1.60$ ).

From a 12-oz bottle supplied by Stine, pours a dark root beer caramel color brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a creamy ring. Aroma of sweet chocolate, some toffee character and a atouch of asphalt driveway. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a sweet sugary finish. No bitterness in the aftertaste though it has a slight sweet malt finish flavor.

ogivlado (4975) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 6, 2010
Bottled 970ml. -Black coloured, small beige head, slight malty and sugary nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and molasses with notes of toffee and ash. Heavy sweetness in the finish. Sugar is too dominant here. One-dimensional, expected better stout.

The last of the Argentinian quartet from Stine. Dark brown color with no head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Strong malt body that tastes like it was stewing with a slab of salty bacon. I happen to love bacon, so this is okay by me.

Bottle. Nice dark pour with a good foamy off white head. Aroma is kind of a foul toasty malt. Palate is a bit thin. Taste isn’t bad - toasty malts. Okay.

Another from Stine. The aroma has roasted malt and only a hint of smoke. Flavor has medium sweet malt, some wood, and light yeast. The yeast flavor is especially interesting in this style. Good.

NOt so special either, but nicer than other south american black beers. They are too sweet, which I like but the bottle suggested more.

Once again thanks to Stine for sharing another obscure foreign beer. Malty/grain nose with a dark brown color. Sweet malt body with a slight salty finish.
