3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Purchased at Binny’s in Chicago, IL, enjoyed at my friends place before a buddy’s 30th b-day celebration. Interesting bottle on this one. Appearance is moderately thick with a rich white head that laces. Aroma of dry chocolate. Taste is dry, mostly chocolate bit of nitrogen. Decent stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The amazingly thick and creamy head is by far the best thing about this beer, unfortunately. Nothing bad but the muted chocolate and thin body just don’t cut it in the competitive stout world.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Light earthy coffee and chocolate malt aroma Near black with a hugel creamy tan head. Earthy/peaty coffee malt flavor, like a low acid Indonesian coffee. Medium body.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Charcoal chocolate malt aroma. Dark black with huge tan head. Slight sweet-tart chocolate malt flavor. Body on the light side. Not spectacular but far ahead of most South American beers.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (330 mL), poured into a glass stein with a dark brown color and a very small but persistent tan head... aroma is mostly roast, with some hints of yeast and coffee.
Taste is rather acidic, with a very light body and light notes of coffee and yeast.
Overall, I think this is a mostly average beer, definitely nothing stands out but it’s not bad either; was good with strong cheeses, went down easily and I’d have it again, but nothing to die for.
Also, considering it’s cheaper than most microbrews around here, it’s a good choice for large gatherings as it’s still lightyears above any industrial beer.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with a light acidic edge and notes of roasted malt and chocolate. Thanks omhper for sharing.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.33 l bottle, thanks ompher! Dark brown color. Sweetish, coffeish, yeasty, raisiny, plummy and berryish aroma with some acidic oud bruin vibes. Coffeish, berryish, yeasty and acidic flavor with raspberry and cherry. Perhaps acidity is not indented but it kind of fits here.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of omhper. Hazy orangey brown with an off-white head. Lightly nutty, roasted aroma. Medium body, a little roasted and ashy malt notes but otherwise completely dominated by a distinct and unfortunate acidity. Sour and infected all through the finish. 200908

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pitch black with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, cream, and toffee. Very malty flavour with notes of coffee as well. Thick texture and medium body, and not as bitter or strong as other Stouts, so it’s easy to drink. Very nice attempt of making a Chilean stout.
