Commercial Description: This Dusseldorf-style Altbier is big and assertive, with a powerful mouth-taste ushering in a slight warming flavor and a crisp hoppiness. The slight sweetness of this "double" style (i.e. More malt and more alcohol) alt with caramel and chocolate overtones, balences well with the intense hop character of this strong beer hand-crafted to take the chill off of early winter nights.
On draught, served in 8 Oz glasses: Nice full head with a cookie dough taste. The heavy sweetness became a bit much after the first pint of it. Wonderful in small doses.
