ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA Jan 30, 2007 Orangish pour with medium whitish head. Lots of citrus on the nose, orange and tangering primarily. Smells like Trident Orange MInt gum. Citrus is dominant, with some sweet malt, very little if any hop presence. A session beer for the new drinker. DYCSoccer17 (2040), Davis, California, USA Sep 7, 2006 Pint on tap at the brewpub. Yeasty aroma with some mild astringent sourness present as well. Some light citrus, orange hops are also detected in the nose. Moderate-mostly hazy orangey body with a frothy, off-yellowish head and nice lacing. Sweet, smooth malty start. Cheewy, caramelly middle with plenty of malts present. Light citric orange and spiced, dry hops to finish. A very drinkable beer, which seems to be more of a lightly hopped pale ale than a wheat to me. A great session brew. hopscotch (4588), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2006 Draft... Murky, deep amber ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy aroma. Fruity flavor with mild sweetness and light bitterness. Notes of citrus, pear, apple and banana. Medium-bodied and creamy with adequate carbonation. Finishes very lightly bitter, spicy and dry. Another thin offering not brewed to style. Mediocre at best even with style not being a consideration. jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 1, 2006 Dark amber orange with a small white head. Yeasty tart citrus aroma. Flavour is similarly yeasty, with grainy oddly fruity notes and a hint of cheap orange flavoured candy. Notes of sweet lemon. Average palate. Alternates between quite pleasant and a touch bizarre. Glouglouburp (2006), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 21, 2006 Cloudy orange body with a little head that quickly turns into a ring. Not much aroma… not much taste either. Some wheat, a little bit caramel and a whole lot of water. Could have used some hops. Very watery. I understand the brewpub rent must be expensive at this prime location near the trendy St-Laurent street in Montreal, but do they really have to water-down the beer?!?!? Refreshing that’s for sure, but tasty? Draft at brewpub.
