Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 19, 2006 Copper body with a little white head. A very weak aroma hop leads the drinker expecting little action for its taste buds. Wrong. The initial typical caramel flavour paves the way to an aggressive and harsh bitterness. The medium finish leaves a peppery and slightly metallic after-taste. Medium carbonation and slightly watery body. Most of the Reservoir beers are on the light side of taste so this one while not being all that pleasant was at least very tasty. The bottom line, did I like it or not? Am I ambivalent? Well, yes and no. Quevillon (1269), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Feb 9, 2006 Amère comme, quant des gens de Vancouver qui on voté pour un libérale en 2006 et il est devenu conservateur en moin d’une semaine. De plus, il n’a pas beaucoup de goût. collieman (192), montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 13, 2005 No a success in my book. Pours a orangeish copper, with a thin head and thin carbonation, some nice laceings. Aroma is tangy, spicy hop and soapy. Mouthfeel is chewy, but not nearly chewy enough. Tastes metalic, flowers, straw, a little biscuit, and a little bitter. Aftertaste is bland boring bitterness without any depth of pine, grapefruit or anything else, just bitter. I only go here cuz it’s on the way from DDC to L’amere a boire, at the exact point where I get thirsty. Cheers. CapFlu (3249), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Nov 6, 2005 (Draught) Half-pint ($4) purchased at the Reservoir Brewpub on November 4, 2005. Orange body with a thin, white, creamy head. Nose of windex, dish detergent and wet copper. Flavour of oranges, peaches, flowers and raspberry. Bitter finish. Pretty bad. BückDich (4503), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2005 Draught at the brewpub Copper color, white light head and nice lacing. Nose of earthy hops and dusty malts, no sweetness and a dry cigar taste. No alcohol but rich and woody. Quite tasty.
