omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 22, 2004 Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Brownish amber. Aroma of lemony, orangey hops. Loads of cookie malt gives a firm body and clean mouthfeek. Medium bitterness. A solid beer. Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 3, 2003 Light copper; light, vaguely English hop aroma. Slightly earthy palate, that started doing strange things like mushroom and Lincolnshire Poacher. If they ever decide to give this beer a name they should call it Ploughman's. hopscotch (4579), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 30, 2005 Draft... RBSG2005... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is almost totally nondescript. Notes of black tea and citrus fruit in the flavor. Toffee and lemon peel. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2005 Draught at the brewpub Amber ale, light head, light lacing. Nose of light cascade citrus hops, some light musk and thin. The flavor is a bit musky, not as good as expected from the aroma. Finishes balanced, meh. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Dec 7, 2004 Half-pint at the brewpub in the company of the illustrious tiggmt. Clear maple with a smallish creamy head...fruity nose (orangey), light hoppiness...highly drinkable, very juicy body, smooth and a bit honeyish, subdued hoppiness; I’d say this is closer to an English version though without the woodiness that I’d expect there; whatever one labels it, a nice beer and quite clean and bright.
