heemer77 (3611), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 5, 2006 A cloudy light gold body with a white head. The aroma was grassy with a hint of funky cheese. There was also some pears. The taste was funky sweet mangoes with some cherries. A pretty nice saison. Wished I had tried some more beers at this place. hopscotch (4386), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 7, 2006 Draft... Hazy, straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Good retention. Both the aroma and flavor are nothing but BANANAS! Ripe, sweet BANANAS! No spices to be found. Medium-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Finishes fruity, sweet and finally dry. Based on previous ratings, this is obviously an "off" or different batch. I don’t like bananas much, but if one does, he or she should rush on over to Reservoir and get a glass or two right now! Again, no spices evident... only fruit. Not quite brewed to style. Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada Feb 28, 2006 Robe blonde voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche en dentelle persistente. Arômes de citron et de malt. Saveurs sèches et acides de citron, de malt, d’épices, de levure et de fruits. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jan 19, 2005 Half of a pint at Reservoir (the other half spilled on tiggmtl, alas -- sorry!). Cloudy copper with a bit of lasting head...sweet, anise inflected aroma...body sweet, earthy, apples and pepper and lots of bitterness towards the end. Great saison? No, but a decent beer. tiggmtl (4157), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 17, 2005 Spicy, sweet, peppery, honey aroma - hops, malts and yeast all appear to be lending character. Hazy copper-amber with decent, fine-bubbled, off-white head that recedes to cover. Earthy, fruity (mango) flavour offers some spicy hop notes. Pleasant bubbly texture and medium body. Not sure it really fits my idea of a saison but it is an enjoyable beer. On tap at the brewpub with muzzlehatch.
