Deep copper color, with a frothy tan head, the nose is announcing nothing good here, with a winey, acidic and vinous aromas, where the maltiness tries to emerge in a reserved way. Follows trough on a medium-bodied palate with a shy malty and toffeeish notes, with a chocolatey hint, fruity, raisiny accents, still has a strange winey and acidic character, are we talking here about an infected beer! Where is the sweet caramel malt character, the full-bodied palate, and the maltiness aspect of this kind of beer, and the malty sweetness. What can i say, not close at all to a real scottish ale.

Tap. May 2004 with Tiggmtl. Red copper ale with light vinous aroma, lots of malts, and brown sugar. Light malts in mouth, slightly oxidized. Nice body and mouthfeel.
