sitronbus (11), British Columbia, Canada Jun 30, 2006 A misunderstood beer: a filtered Canadian wheat ale, not a clovey banana hefe. Shared a pitcher at the Jericho Sailing Centre patio. Go great with fish and a view of my home town. Light bodied, crisp tasting, a fine summer ale.
tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 4, 2008 Aroma is grainy and yeasty with an underlying butterscotch character that is not appealing. Opaque yellow/white coloured body is topped by a shy white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Flavour offers more butterscotch and some grain and tart wheat. Sharp carbonation is quite pointy and watery and slick texture is a letdown. Sampled on tap at Martini’s on Broadway. Tipsy_McStager (823), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 19, 2007 Uninspired wheat for the masses. Watery, yeasty. Pours a pale yellow. Grassy finish presario (2435), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 15, 2007 GCBF sample. Gold and clean with a light head. Flavour is plain American Wheat. Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2007 An uninteresting attempt that has unfortunately not been improved upon since R&B began brewing it. On tap at some restaurants it can be an innocuous quaffer. steaky (16), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 9, 2007 overly hopped/carb’ed perhaps. Smells as such also. Deep yellow coulor. thin in the mouth, and thin on taste.
nothing too great here....better than the big commerical brands if that means anything.
