Quack-Duck (1698), Bodensee, Germany Jun 13, 2008 bottle, Danke nach Bochum! Clear golden yellow, medium-sized head. Slightly fruity with lovely malty flavours, that remind me of Czech 11° lagers. Hionts of lemon, a good amount of hops - well-balanced Landbier with a Bohemian character. pivnizub (3768), Porúří, Germany Jun 9, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Deep golden, slowly collapsing white head; a very faint tinge of toasted malt - vegetables also - in the shy malty nose; light bitter-sweet flavour with a light acidity; lemony traces in the light - again - bitter-sweet finish. Well drinkable, but not really impressive......... MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany May 23, 2008 (bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly eggshell-coloured foamy head. Light-sweet, strawy, slightly cara-malty nose with notes of draff and light herbal hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, slim bodied with a moderate carbonation. Strawy malt character, again, slightly doughy with faint herbal accents; quite dry and slim, slightly bitter finish with delicate but fresh herbal hops. A slim but also rounded Landbier (23.05.08).
