COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Formerly known as "Raasted Brown Ale+" at a time when Raasted also made a weaker 3.8% version. The latter has since been discontinued. So the only brown ale now made by Raasted is now this 5.5% version.

English: This is brewed from an English inspiration using the traditional English hops, East Kent Goldings and Fuggles. This brown ale is stronger and has a more full body than normal. A small amount of hops was used and the malt flavor is allowed to be dominant, which makes this beer incredible suitable for use in food and especially for marinating meat, for use during cooking and in the sauce.

Bottle. 5.0%. Best before 09.15. Pours a murky amber/light brown with a tan head. Decent lacing. Malty aroma, a bit roasted, with a light citrus hop note in the background. Flavour is the same, but sweetish and somewhat bitter and with a light plastic note thrown in as well. Metallic note as it warms. Roasted finish, actually more porter/stout-like than brown ale. Soft/oily mouthfeel. Overall okay; not as cloying as some brown ales tend to be in my opinion. 17.08.14.
