COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Formerly known as "Raasted Brown Ale+" at a time when Raasted also made a weaker 3.8% version. The latter has since been discontinued. So the only brown ale now made by Raasted is now this 5.5% version.

English: This is brewed from an English inspiration using the traditional English hops, East Kent Goldings and Fuggles. This brown ale is stronger and has a more full body than normal. A small amount of hops was used and the malt flavor is allowed to be dominant, which makes this beer incredible suitable for use in food and especially for marinating meat, for use during cooking and in the sauce.

A clear brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a roasted malt with light peated notes, wood extract, not bad. In mouth, a good roasted chocolate malt with peated notes, herbal notes, still in good shape.

Bottled at Copenhagen Oldage on 20 May 2006 as Raasted Brown Ale+. Mid brown colour. A bit fizzy on the palate. Some light malt notes - moderately nutty. Nothing much else leapt out. Inoffensive but uninspiring. Not really a style I enjoy too much at the best of times.

Brown with a low grey head. Hazelnuts dominate the aroma with further notes of caramel, roasted malts and craneberries. Refreshing sweet flavours - again the hazelnuts are clearly present.
