3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
50 cl bottle shared two ways. Black pour with a fairly large tan head. Nose has loads of licorice and some sweet notes. Taste is at first dominated by sweetness and licorice. Finish has a touch of chili which is enjoyable at first but feels way to artificial after a few sips.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Copenhagen 15/9 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Nice big one on the label to signify that this is No. 1 in Raasteds No. series. Pours opaque dark brown - almost black - with light brown head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is slightly sugary with licorice sharpness, brown sugar, a little roasted malts and light touch of alcohol. Soft carbonation and thick creamy palate. Flavor is heavy sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a nice touch of chili. If you feel cold and lonely you can get some warmth and a heartburn with this brew.

Det er ikke nemt at lave en chili-øl. Enten bliver den for stærk, eller også kan man ikke smage chilien. Denne her har fundet en rimelig balance, det er måske også nemmere hvis øllen er mørk og har noget sødme til at kompencere for chilien.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
clear brown, smooth light brown head.
faint chili herbal note, faint licorice, some mildly roasted malts.
Flavor is well dosed chili , faint licorice, roasted malts, hops are low. I think the chili and licorice is well dosed, and the base beer is almost flavorful enough to make it work. One of the better chili licorice porters.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chilis, roasted malt, and a bit of liquorice. The flavor is sweet with notes of chili, roasted malt, and liqourice, leading to a dry roasted finish, where the chlii burns a bit.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful light brown foam. The aroma suggests clearly the slightly sharp scent of chili. Lovely flavors of roasted malt which contributes an appropriate sweetness until chili enter the field with a little sharp, but not too overwhelming, strong flavor. It gives just a warming and spicy flavor which in turn taken over by English liquorice which increase its fullness tremendously. The first sip is probably somewhat misleading and gives the impression of something that seems wrong in your mouth. One must therefore taste it again and again in small sips, too slow acclimatization to the taste buds and you will discover that there actually is a good brew craft behind. It has a comfortable semi-dry aftertaste where chili burns suffered in the corner of the mouth and slowly makes room for a comfortable transition to liquorice. It is brewed as a traditonel English London-porter, that is a little laid-back without being too strong in flavor nuances. The dominance found in chilli sets a fine edge for the English licorice. All without being too much. May absolutely not be drunk too cold, thus it will lose too many of the fine nuances it carries on. Very elegant porter.
