Danish: Et Raasted / Grassroots collaboration brew. Ja, hvorfor ikke? En black belgian barleywine. Ryan Witter Merithew og Martin Jensen testede bryganlægget og kunne proppe hele 374 kilo malt i gryden. En sort, frugtig distinkt belgisk smag med en god humlebitterhed og aroma. Hele 9,8 % alkohol sneg den sig op på. Cascade, Chinook og Simcoe til humling.

27-MAY-2011, draft @Copenhagen BeerFestival 2011. Beautifull blacck body with lasting high beige head. Hoppy... Bitter from hops and malts. Style is Stout meets IPA with a good dose of malts. Very very creamy. Really smooth, long and lovely roasted hoppy aftertaste. Fantastic mix of styles.

Sampled at Copenhagen beer festival 2011. Almost black with a small brown head. Liquirice, sleight smoke and lots of yeasty fruit esters. Salty and ashy roasted grain flavor with a distinct yeasty sweet fruityness. Its like a fresh stout.

Draught at the Danish Beer Festival 2011. Black with beige head. Dark chocolate aroma, some fudgy vanilla, no appearent belgian character. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness.

On tap. Pours pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is brown sugar, roasted malt, dark fruit, spice and chocolate. The flavour is dark fruit, roasted malt, spicy yeast, brown sugar and some alcohol.

Fad: Sort gennemsigtig øl med et fint skumhoved. Sort barleywine er en fin beskrivelse. Klassisk amerikansk barleywine med en massiv dosis humle. Fantastisk.

all black with a lovely creamy, yellow-beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, liqourice, light chocolate and raisins. Light carbonation, frothy fat and light dry mouthfeel. Overall sweet flavour with good roasted malts, raisins, liqourice, mild astringency, chocolate. Good lingering herbal bitterness with some liqourice. Yum.

De barril a botella. Dark brown colour, beige head. Sweet flavour dark malty caramel fruity hoppy. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with dark malts, caramel and and fruity hops, pine, bitter. Sweet malty bitter finish.

Tap @ Fairbar. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, cherries. Taste is coffee, sweet chocolate, cherries, plums oak, caramel. Full creamy body, soft carbonation. Very nice beer. 030411

Draught. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. MOderate malty and hoppy aroma. Strong bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter burnt finish. Oily palate.
