A dark strong hoppy wheat stout, definitely not for beginners. A little to much alcohol.

Black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, burnt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is rather sweet and rather bitter. Smooth and soft with a bitter finish, where the alcohol warms the throat. Full bodied. How on earth is the wheat supposed to make it’s way through all the roasted and burnt malts? Doesn’t matter. This is a great imperial stout. 171009

Tap @ Olutravintola Pikkulintu. Rated @ 22.4.2010.
Pours a pitch black colour with a small head. Pleasant aroma of roasted malts, coffee and fruits. Sweet flavour with roastiness, wheat and licorice. A bit different than other Imperial Stouts. Full bodied with a warming finish. Very nice.

(Draught@Pikkulintu, sampled 2010-04-10) Almost black with a creamy, beige head. Roasted maltiness and a touch of burnedness in the nose, along with a touch of coffee, wheaty sourness, and licorice. Flavor is softly sour and roasted-malty, with intense dryness and some ashiness in the finish. Some bitterness, but it won’t stand out until the aftertaste. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Quite pleasant, sourish-wheaty IS, but somewhat too burned and dry for my taste.
