Aug 17, 2008 2007 bottle: Pours dark amber with a small head. Aroma is lots of toffee with notes of red currants and aniseed. flavour is sweet with notes of toffee, red berries and liquorice. Long, bitter finish.

Jul 11, 2008 Bottle: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, quickly diminishing off-white foamy layer; sweet dried fruits and sweet dark malt in the nose; full sweet flavour; sweet-fruity-vinous finish with a chocolatey touch in the aftertaste. Not bad, but a bit too sweet to be really great...........

Jun 22, 2008 Deep dark red colored with black hints. Little light brown head. Caramelly and chocolaty aroma with slight burned tones, mild alcohol also here. Medium bodied. Flavor starts with same burned tone and some chocolate, caramel also here. Aftertaste is sweet still with mild alcohol and glue, sugar sticked in lips. Well, not too Belgian one.

Jun 17, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of Dixen & Hildigöltur) Cloudy, murky brown colour with a reddish shine and a short creamy beige layer. Sweet and sugary strong toast-malty aroma with dried fruits (plums)and lighter spicy notes in the back. Sugary sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Sugary malty, moderately toasty with dried fruity accents and a whiff of caramel; strong sweet and toasty, slightly vinous finish with a noticeable but non-disturbing alcohol. Very sweet but nevertheless likeable brew (10.06.08).

Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a meduim head. Spicy aroma with coriander, toffee, caramel, raisin and plum. Flavour is the same and the palate is smooth and creamy. I liked this very much!
