A pretty good beer anyway but still difficult to understand. The smell is pretty good. The taste is not what I had imagined. But okay anyway. The aftertaste is thin and weak.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foffern (738) - Bodø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle at home. Vintage 2010. The colour is very hazy reddish brown with a frothy medium off-white head. Aroma of dried fruit, leather, oak and some alcohol and heather. Much of the same in the flavour but feels sweeter with the addition of caramel, brown sugar and some chocolate. The mouthfeel is slick, and has a light bitterness. A rich and tasteful beer but is also surprisingly light in one way.
