COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Another beer inspired by the strong Belgian Ales. There has been used 5 different malts, corn, dark cane sugar, and a lot of dark candy sugar. Very lightly hopped with Tettnanger.

Bottled@Angleterre. Deep ambery brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruity, a bit yeasty and quite sweet caramel malty notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some dark fruits, and quite much plesant yeastyness. Excellent stuff.

(2005) 50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Very dark brown colour with a weak head. Lovely aroma of sweet malt, dried fruit, alcohol and hints of coffee. Very soft tasty flavour of complexity and chocolate.

Bottled. Sweet raisin and hints of apple aroma. Cloudy/murky, reddish brown color, beige head, fair lace. Very sweet, light bitter, raisin, subtile spices, soft and sticky. Lovely beer in the style of mostly overspiced Belgian and Dutch Christmas/Winter ales. Thanks Papsoe.

Fynske Øldage 2005, Odense. Dark brown with a red hue. The mouthfeel is oily and nice and the aroma is sweet and spicy. The flavour is sweetish, spicy with notes of roasted malt, nuts, weak hints of licorice and a very light bitterness in the finish. It has a nice full body, and I do not feel the alcohol in the flavour.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2008 Fad. Overraskende øl, der ligner en belgier, men i langt højere grad har smag tilfælles med en porter. God frugtig smag med en smule brændthed. Virkelig udmærket.

Little or no head, yellowish bubbles on cola-coloured beer. Sweet, (red or dark) berries, dark malts but restrained, shoepolish (in a nice way), and a very light tobacco-like finish. Maybe some molasses. In the taste very outspoken tobacco (strong dark as pipetobacco), also peanuts (unsalted but roasted), dark malts, hint of liquorice, brown candi sugar and molasses. Only medium bodied, drinking away quite easily despite lots of flavour(s). Here’s one I like. Reasonably complex, sweet but not overly so, interesting flavours but no spicecocktail. Top!
