Raccoon finally came out with and IPA that actually is an IPA! The standard IPA and Oak IPA are lacking. This been was very dark with nearly no head and unfiltered. It went down easy and the hops were not over doing things. I’d drink again! Light on the palate with a slight funk aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Medium amber colored with a slight haze to it. Long lived off-white head which leaves scant lacing. Aoma is pleasant with floral hoppy notes, some caramel. Medium bodied. Alcohol blends well. Quite a nice beer, decently balanced.

This was the tastiest of all, in fact I had to order a pint despite the sampler which is adequate. This has a more barleywine character to it, almost winey in the finish. Smooth and hoppy, with a velvety mouthfeel and more of a alcohol masking than previous versions.
