COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer fermented w/ real raspberries (no extracts or flavorings). Bright tart raspberries greet you in the nose, while sweet raspberries on the palate give way to a slight sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish.

"People expecting another huge NW sour may come away disappointed, but this is more akin to a fruity Berliner than a sour ale. Light tartness, huge raspberry flavor and aroma, wheat, cereal. Very refreshing if simple."

On tap at the barrel house. Pours orangey red with a pink head. Fresh raspberry aroma, light grains. Flavor carries macerated raspberries, a little too sweet like juice squeeze soda, mild dry finish without much tartness.

On tap at the Portland brewery. Pour is bright magenta with a small pink head and great lacing. Fruity, spritzy, wheaty, doughy, tannic, and strawberry skins. Taste is artificial raspberry, fruit skins, blueberries, wood, and bread. Light body with high carbonation. Meh.

Tap at brewery. Clean rose like ruby color. Raspberry, cherry, wheat. Light body. Good carbonation. Sour finish. Nice and refreshing

spritzy wheat nose, tons of CO2 bitterness makes raspberry synthetic. Splinter blue esque flavor but empty, tons of high carbonation metallicity at front with raspberry juice, lactic vanilla mid with coin and dirty wheat through the spent, flabby bodied finish.

Draft - Sweet raspberry jam. Clear pink with a light pink head. Soda pop like, with sweet raspberry and a clean finish. Finish has no syrupy or sweetness that I expected. OK but nothing interesting.

Pours a clear rose with an offwhite pink head. Tons of raspberries on the nose, like raspberry jolly ranchers. Thin on the tongue an with the flavor, a hint of raspberry sweetness early and a hint of hop snap late along with an unpleasant not-like-a-sour sourness very late. Not an impressive beer but I’m probably doing it no favors tasting it first with several sours waiting.

04AUG12 at the barrel house. Very disappointed with this one. The server did not warn us this was an overnight sour mash (she later indicated after I said it was too sweet and plain). Looks like a watered down Rose wine - flat and glassy. Smells of raspberries and sweet alcohol with a slightly rosy character. Fun nose. Flavor is much less fun. Tastes like a golden ale with a bunch of raspberry flavor - not tart, but slightly dry on the finish. Sad beer. Serving type: on-tap 08-07-2012
