COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A high-quality alternative to commercially bought 'barley pop'. Based on the original recipe for Tallgrass Bold, Tallgrass Light is made most quaffable by the addition of rice as a fermentable source.

I’ll just ask why? On tap at the brewery with nothing to it at all. For instance, I rated flavor low not because it’s bad just because there’s no flavor. No aroma. Did I ask why?

On tap @ Raccoon River. Light yellow appearance with a white head. Nice sweet pale malty lager nose. Quite sweet, slight soapy pale lager flavor.

I doubt there’s any lagering going on with this one, but Golden Ale/Blonde Ale doesn’t seem appropriate... this beer is very pale yellow with a white head. The nose is sweetened corn and lemon, with a fresh but flavorless introduction, quick dissolving into a thin, mildly buttery, forgettable twang... there’s some light notes of fruit, but still, there’s really not much in there to be found. Bland, simple, mailed-in for the Bud drinkers, so no surprise it’s not the best beer in the world.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden color with white head that left only a tiny bit of filmy lace. Light sprucy hop aroma accented by a hint of honey. Malty cereal grain flavor. There was also a peculiar industrial cleaner type flavor lingering somewhere in the background. Crisp and dry on the tongue.

On tap at the brew pub. The body was pale yellow with a thin white head. The aroma was grassy with some carrots and lemon zest. The taste was watered down green bell peppers with slight spice in the finish.

Draft-4 oz. sampler--Looks like and tastes like most light lagers. Gold color with no head, slight aroma, and the soft corn taste. It least it tasted fresher than most light beers.

On tap at the brewpub during the 2006 Crescent Moon Beer Bus Trip. Pale blonde in color. Flat with no head. Tastes like a BMC that sat around until the next morning opened. FLAT. Diacyl and metallic finish. Very corny. It sucks.

Pale yellow with a gluey head. Sweet grassy aroma with a light cereal character, and a hint of soap.
