Pristine straw color with expansive but hollow head. Deep grainy, chloriney aroma, light herbal hops. Smooth, languorously textured flavor, a little too fatty and full. Sweetish with very light bitterness, sharp pepperiness.

Pours golden with a nice white head. Not much aroma, but a decent taste. Hell, it was the official drink in Saxony. Nice example of a pils.

(Bottle). A decent, but not outstanding, German Pils. Aroma is grass, hay, and some malt. Flavor is smooth and balanced, and a bit of hops, refreshing but not particularly memorable. I suspect that the German nobility, if motivated, could do a lot better.

Bottle. Pours a golden straw colour with white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, grass and pilsner malt. Flavor is much of the same. However I do not like the aftertaste. Another argument as to why I don’t like pilsners...

Clear straw-coloured beer with a fine white head. Faint grassy, spicy noble hop aroma with a lot of grainy pils malt. Flavour is a bit of grass with more grainy malt, offset by a fair bit of toothsome crisp sulfate hop bitterness. Extremely refreshing, light on the palate, goes down nicely. I’d have liked more hop aroma, but still, this is a real German pils.

Smelled like a chlorinated swimming pool and was the color of pee. Taste slightly better than the aroma, making for a nice, stinging finish that lasts forever. Gross.
