downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. Pale gold with a billowy white head. Sweet, malty aroma with hay and grassy hops. Flavour of doughy malts, sweet corn and more hops, with a bitter ifnish. Ok. zdk (188), New York, USA Oct 6, 2009 On tap at a hookah bar. Nice and spicy for a pilsner but perhaps too strongly carbonated. Pours yellow with a nice foamy head. Finishes with a surprising bitter kick that keeps things lively. I was pleasantly surprised (though not overly awed by this beer). fidel (886), Livermore, California, USA Oct 2, 2009 Poured clear golden yellow, simple, crisp, malty, corn, grainy, bready, little grassy hops. Rustyham (545), miami, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2009 light, crisp., kind of sweet. Very generic flavor. no hops. meh. Bottle at 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce, Fla. jfb (413), Weihenstephan, Germany Sep 29, 2009 (bottle) pours a clear pale yellow colour with a tall dense white head. simple aroma of pale malts and fresh herbal hops. flavour is the same, slightly fruity, with a grainy bitter finish. light to medium body, a little too strongly carbonated to make it thirst-quenching. JulienHuxley (166), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada Sep 23, 2009 Can. Very light yelloe in color with a thin white head that fades quickly. Aroma is grain, corn I think is correct with some light hop herbal notes. Taste is malty just sweet enough with an easy hop finish. Medium-high carbonation makes it pretty refreshing. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Sep 20, 2009 (bottle - 330 ml) Clear golden color with a very thin white head. Aroma is dry and sweet with some corn and grassy notes. Flavor is sweet and crisp at the beginning with some hints of dry grass and stale hops. Bitter at the end. danielst (131), Vienna, Austria Sep 14, 2009 On tap; bottled: A pale blonde pour with an OK, fluffy head. The aroma is very sweet grainy/corny and grassy with whiffs of fusels joining in - not good. The flavour is definitely cleaner and typical for a north german Pilsener: Lean and crisply carbonated on the palate, herbal bitter hops and straw-y pale malts. Not as sophisticated as the layout might suggest.
