Tap at Sugar Lounge: Golden pour with great clarity and topped by a dense white foam. Slightly sweet pale malt aroma. Crisp texture. The flavor has a clean malt character, it’s slightly doughy, but evidently German. The hop presence is dry-ish and grassy. When it warms there’s an almost nutty touch. Simple, but quaffable and balanced.

12oz bottle: Another decent lager from the dollar bin. Pours a clear honey gold with a hint of red and a nice white cap. The nose is simple with balanced but soft grassy hops and buttery malts. The body continues this way and drinks nice and smooth. Bread and caramel notes emerge on the back of the tongue as a light bitterness offers a nice piney resin to the finish. Sure this isn’t super complex, but is that what it is trying to be? Another solid pilsner that I will drink during the upcoming heat of summer.

Draught at Kalaset. Clear golden - white head. Straw, freshness, hay, light cardboard, light diacetyl aroma, light brown sugar. Broing....

Tap. Moderate hoppy, light sour. Large white foamy head, yellow body. Short duration, moderate bitter. Dry, light to medium body, lively carbonation, moderate astringent finish. A normal Pils.

A very pretty clear golden amber, rather appealing. Aroma is typical of this kind of beer, but strong. Flavor is full, malty, crisp - average for a pilsner except richer than most, and not watery. Texture is smooth and lively, and the aftertaste has just a touch of bitterness.

German beer is chemical free. True to the style. Nothing exceptional, just an easy drinking summer beer.

50cl bottle in Kues. Not sure what to tell you. Exactly what a german pils should be. Very pleasant on a sunny day watching life float by on the Mosel.

Decent pilsner - easy to ddrink but not a lot of taste or aroma. Perhaps a good summer beer.
