PictouRx (29), Ontario, Canada Dec 15, 2007 Overall a pretty good beer, had it from a can around 5-6 C, had a large head when poured into glass. Palate medium, creamy twinge, flavor was hoppy, slightly bitter. kappldav123 (1793), Markkleeberg, Germany Dec 12, 2007 Ich bin kein Fan von diesem Bier. Für ein Pils ist es mir zu würzig, der Nachgeschmack zu intensiv. Aber in der allergrößten Not kann man es schon trinken. Quinten (955), zaandam, Netherlands Dec 11, 2007 Golden colour, medium head, grainy base, nice hops, good balance, nice beer. estpiwo (468), Estonia Dec 10, 2007 0,5L can. Golden color. Aroma is more malty with some tones of hops. Flavor is not so hoppy (I prefer more hops), aftertaste is bitter. Tenderstone (25), Renton, Washington, USA Dec 1, 2007 Pours transparent golden color with a small white head. light cereal and strong hop flavor that lends a pleasant bitterness. Good pils. Not great, but not one I would turn down. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA Nov 26, 2007 You dont’ get much more ’classic german’ pilsner than this. I spent some time in Germany this year and this is an example of what Germans drink when they drink Pils.
My problem is, I just dont like this kind of beer. But if your only choice is to drink a Pils, drink this one. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 22, 2007 Updated: Oct 24, 2008tap - Pours clear gold with a one finger white head. It smells of pale malt and the taste is fairly well balanced between the cereal malt and the hops. It’s a light, basic pilsener that’s not a bad choice at the pub. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Nov 20, 2007 ($5.75 pint at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, GA).
Appearance: Clear, pale golden body with a small, fizzy white head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling cereal aroma with a light grassiness and notes of cabbage.
Taste: Pils malt flavor upfront, though with less sweetness than I was expecting from the nose. Mild grassy notes. Herbaceous hop flavor with a medium bitterness. Strong vegetal quality throughout. Dry, hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A pilsner with little to offer and lacking much of an identity of its own, it was hard to get too excited about it when Victory Prima was also available.
