Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA Aug 14, 2007 On draft at the Ginger Man NYC. The day was hot, my tongue was swollen and I had just walked a half mile. I needed this. It was pale gold and had a creamy white head. The malt and hops are well balanced although both have a very light presence. It was light, dry and refreshing with a mild hop aftertaste. I needed this. sinkhole (176), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2007 hoppy aroma which follows through to the taste. Overall distinctive bitter taste throughout. A decent pilsner but others are much better. blinesam (233), USA Aug 11, 2007 12 oz poured into glass. this beer was terible, tasted burnt, don’t try this at home. cat pee and keg smell. MullMan (1080), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Aug 10, 2007 on tap at Loreley NYC. light gold clear body with a thick foamy off white head. grassy aroma. flavor is fry grassy malt, weak noble hops. dry finish. kramer (2407), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 10, 2007 On draft, Old Heidelberg, Bethel CT. Pours a clear yellow gold under a fluffy foamy dollop of white head. Lots of carbonation visible and left lots of lacing. Aroma is clean pils malt with some light German hops. Nice crisp, lightly bitter flavor with minimal to no DMS. Lingering lightly bitter doughy finish. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel with a nice lightly prickly carbonation level. A nice classic Pilsener, in a great setting. I’m surprised the rates are so low for this beer, I think there may be a drop in quality when in the bottle due to the shipping/storage conditions. It was pretty nice on draft. Gethinbeer (997), Nova Scotia, Canada Aug 4, 2007 From bottle. Typical lager appearance and aroma. Bitter with hops . Slight tangy finish, could be a metallic. Average charlotte (1998), Vanløse, Denmark Jul 29, 2007 Clar golden colour with white floffy head.light bitter and hoppy really German styl pilsner and o.k beer. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jul 22, 2007 Updated: Jul 23, 2007Bottle. Nothing to much to report here. Pretty standard German pils import. I appreciate the brown bottle, but this just comes across as an ubiquitous Eurolager with a just a bit more of the familiar grassy/straw hoppiness.
