AWS9 (222), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2009 Can. Bready, sweet hop aroma, German pilsner smell, mmm. Standard gold. Very easy drinking and smooth, but doesn’t have the sharpness you’d hope for. I could drink this any time, but a little disappointing. Not quite on the same level as other international German pilsners. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Sep 11, 2009 Easy drinking, with a slight bitterness at the end that drags it from complete obsurity. Thin bodied. A euro lager more so than a good example of a pils sinte (88), udine, Italy Sep 10, 2009 Bottle, 0.5 L.
golden body with a large, white head, mostly lastinmg with a sufficient lacing.
Minaly herbal hops aroma.
Heavy bitter flavour with some sweet note.
Light body with a watery texture; lively carbonation.
Not great, but drinkable. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2009 Bottle. Yellow pour. Very light aroma...corn and maybe some old hops. Flavor is watery and bland. If I were in the desert for a few days this would be drinkable. ha1ag (415), Maastricht, Netherlands Aug 24, 2009 Bottled from Aachen. One of my favourites of its kind. Clean golden color, average white head, hops in the nose. no lacing. in aroma you have hops and some softness. Flavour turns more robust hops and soft bitterness. Nice Saxonian brew, RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 22, 2009 Sweet corn and graininess...rough around the edges...decent yellow pour with plenty of beading and fluffy white head...just a decent enough lawn mower brew. Borresteijn (1351), Amsterdam, Netherlands Aug 22, 2009 On tap in Trier. Clear golden yellow, foamy white head. Aroma of grassy hops and dry pale malts. Flavour is bitter, grass, light metallic, a bit of honey. Firm bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. probstk (1011), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2009 500 ml can from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a decent white froth.
Aroma: Lots of wet, fresh hay, a little grassy hops, some light fruity, malts, some grain and cereal.
Palate: Medium body and carbonation, not as smooth as expected.
Flav.: Lighter than the nose, still some peppery, grassy hops, less of the wet hay, more nondescript cereal/grain; dry, lightly bitter with a mineral finish.
Pleasant but blah.
