Clear amber golden color with a nice head. From the moment you taste it you understand that it’s a german pilsner beer. Bready-malty taste with bitter finish. A well made german pils.

Pours clear golden with a nice off-white head and a bready aroma. There is a yeasty fruity pilsner malt flavor with a dry bitter finish.

Bottle. Light golden with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is grainy malt and grassy hops plus some apples and soap. Taste is quite watery, flat and bland. Light body, high carbonation, medium bitterness with an aftertaste of grass and hay. Tastes better after being swallowed, than when in the mouth. Quite a dull pilsener, akin to a more assertively hopped pale lager.

Bottle brought from Darmstadt by my wife. Light gold, lively and with a good head, which never really goes away. Aroma faint of german noble hops, very discretely indeed. Lively in the mouth too, a bit too bubbly for my taste. The taste is classic pils, hops dominate it backed with malt sweetness. Hallertauer Mittelfrüh with a healty dose of late boil addition. A very good pils, better than Bitburger and the northern versions as it balances better with the malt, but the carbonation makes this beer a little too bouncy and chique, I like my pils lower in bubbles.

Pours a clear, light straw color with a white head. Smells lightly of noble German hops. Very light German hops flavor that finishes a tad of melanoidin malts with a slight hopness. Not a bad beer. But, it ain’t that good either. Almost like a step up from PBR. My wife who likes Busch light will love this.

Very light yellow with a doughy odor. Some bitterness and bite, but not really much going on here. Falls flat through the finish. I remember this being better years back. Also Friedrich August had to abdicate following the war...probably required many a case too feel better about that.

Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is grass, florals and hay. Taste is sweet with light bitters. Clean and crisp. Decent pils.
