500ml bottle. Good white foam, partly lasting. Clear straw coloured. Slightly grassy aroma. More grass in flavour mixed with pale malts. Notes of bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied (Irgertsheim, 22.06.2007).

Bottle in Berlin... a solid German pilsner. Doesn’t blow you away with flavor, but has a nice hoppy finish.

Bottle in Trier Germany (in the awesome Radeberger glass). Hazy straw blond body, frothy white head. Grassy aroma. Soft but prominent grassy hopping. Very refreshing, I like this a lot, but I wonder if it still tastes this good outside of Germany.

[348-20070619] 500mL. Grassy veggie yeast aroma with hints of urine. Clear, yellow body with an initially huge medium-lasting foamy white head. Veggie yeast flavour. Medium body is gravelly. Interesting taste, harsher than expected.

Pours a very plain yellow color, with a thick but quickly dissipating white head. Smells slightly spicy. Taste is also slightly spicy, but also sort of sour in the finish. There’s some hop presence, maybe a little bit towards the pine end of the spectrum. It has reasonably low carbonation.

On tap at Loreley, in NYC. More golden than the Jevers I had the same trip; I thought it tasty.

Yellow/gold, pillow white head. Nose is crispy hops, lightly toasted malt. Flavor is light toasty malt, slight biscuit, some lemon, Fruit grows in the finish.
