DuffMan (2721), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Apr 23, 2006 A typical pale lager in all respects, but missing some of the hop strength and pleasant bitterness found in many good quality german pils. Okay. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Apr 12, 2006 50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Yellow golden colour with a nice white head. Aroma of sweet maltness combined with a light grassy nose. Bitter flavour with maltness and some metallic hoppy finish. Very dull and uninteresting. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA Apr 7, 2006 12oz botlte pours golden with a fluffy white head that stayed pretty well and laced some. Aroma of pretty much every other german lager I’ve tried. Light grains, a touch of skunk, and light hops. Flavor is grain, some honey, light malts, and a touch of german hops on the finish. Palate is light and rather airy. Likely won’t drink this one again. sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Mar 19, 2006 Pours a pale yellow, ever so slightly hazy. White foamy head. Sweet and malty. Slightly fruity aromas. Light bodied. Dry, lightly dust finish. Nice mellow thirst quencher. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Feb 24, 2006 Straw colour with a smaller white head. Very crisp and Saazy with a lot of floral aroma. Quite dry for a lager. Goes down easy but nothing really special. GRM (1237), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Feb 10, 2006 Can, 500 ml, 4.8%, expiry date: 31/5/6; good head that disappears rapidly, pale yellow; nose: syrup, hops and malt; mouth: malt, bitterness, sweet highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia Feb 8, 2006 Pretty nasty German industrial lager. Has none of the subtlety of a good pils. Very pale gold, busy carbonation, huge loose head that spackled the glass. Uninteresting aroma - cheap ’wet nappy’ malt, urine, rust and sugar. Medium-bodied but mouth-filling. Not overly fizzy, which is its sole redeeming feature. Too sweet initially, before a late metallic hop extract taste provides a dry finish. Lightly hopped sugar-water. Not much better than the local CUB lagers. (500ml can, Liquor on Parade, bb 10/8/06) KnutAlbert (3110), Oslo, Norway Feb 3, 2006 Flowery and fruity, soft pils. Refreshing and slightly different. A little hops, but not enough. IMHO the bottled version is better than the draft one.
