Golden with a tall head. Average-looking. Soft, biscuity malt aroma with a bit of piny, citrus hops and some cardboard. Crisp, clean, slightly fruity flavor. Light, with a bit of biscuity sweetness and a hard hop finish. Too much cardboard al the way through is annoying, though. Clean hoppiness is nice. Much better as it warmed and opened up, though still rather unimpressive.

An average european pilsner. A decent amount of head, crisp and refreshing.

Tasted 6/24/09. 500ml bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. Spiraling white head. Aromas of cereal grains and sweetgrass. Touch toast and caramel. Crisp nose. Light to medium bodied with a crisp effervescence. Lightly roasted malts and a dry finish. This is satisfying and leaves a faint cloying sticky finish. Faintly grassy. This is straight up! True to style and refreshing.

Distributor rep went on and on about this one. Apprently it is a big seller in Europe. I found it to be fairly basic. A pilsner. That’s about it.

500 ml bottle. From Tallinn, Estonia. Clear golden colour with medium-size head. Straw, grain and malt in aroma. Same with the flavour plus some hoppy bitterness.

Pours a pale yellow with a tinge of green and has a frothy white head. Aroma is a full on Saaz assault. Musty, oily, apples, grain and spice. This beer tastes like when I had to shovel out grain bins as a kid on the farm. Musty dusty grain with spice and a hint of green apple. Decent bitterness. No adjuncts present, I like that. Soft mouth feel. Decent pil.

There really isn’t any aroma and my friend remarked that it looked like a tall glass of piss, which it mostly does. There is a surprising hop flavour that isn’t too strong but really doesn’t seem like it belongs in something so clear and only slightly yellow. The hops flavour passes quickly and your moth is left almost the same as it was before you had a drink. Refreshing! Great in the heat.

Draught at RNH (NYC): Pours a light, clear yellow. Thin head. Crisp bitterness with a faint aftertaste. Classic feel, but mediocre at best. #013 on 14062009, DG.
