An average, clear yellow pils with a frothy white head that quickly disappears, softly carbed, grassy hop aroma, tastes of sweet grains and malts, some corn, and an earthy bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Blairgus (1019) - California, USA - MAY 31, 2011
31 May 2011, bottle. yellow, clear, steady, slow bubbles and rocky white head. crisp malt, slightly sweet, initial saaz hops aroma. thin body and mildly fizzy. nice tasting pilsener. there is a dry earth element, a faint sweet caramel (very faint) and a slight bitter finish. it is cold, crisp and not very sweet and bitter enough. this is a lager i could drink regularly (if i’m drinking lager).

It poured a pale gold color with a little white head. The aroma was light grain, earth and hay. The taste was very mild malt sweetness with a decent scent of bitterness.

Draught @ The Beer Kitchen, KC .. . Pours a light gold, medium foam .. . pretty crisp .. . lots of hay in the mouth (horse!) .. . an ok euro lager but pretty mundane .. . When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Last had this in The Renaissance hotel, Leipzig, in pre-RB days and I’m drinking it now from a footed Radeberger flute lifted from said hotel, sadly minus the little paper doily. It struck me as an exotically bitter, biting pilsener back then...today, I’m not so sure. Clean pale gold with a low, lacing collar. Beeswax and light lemony aroma with some almond, sweetcorn and toasted bread. Crisp piney bitterness rounded with toast and honey. Linger as bitter as Jever, slightly drying on the teeth. A trace of metal marking it down. Still a decent beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jade (294) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2011
Very wheaty aroma on this clear golden beer with moderate carbonation. Fluffy white head. Very strong bitter taste, almost unpleasant to begin with before the pallete adjusts.
