2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 23, 2002
Bright light golden color. Nose is somewhat malty with light grassy hops. Body is spritzy with crispy, leafy hops and a touch of malt. Not a bad pils, although it could stand for a little more malt flavor.
3.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 eeast99 (3) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 21, 2002 does not count
Clear, smooth, with a subtle mouth feel. The Radeberger Pils has well balanced malty character unlike any other pilsner I’ve had so far.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2002
yellow with a nice pillowy head. fresh hoppy aroma. good clean and crisp flavours with a good hoppy bite in the finish. better than I expected.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 17, 2002
Clear yellow colour w/ fluffy white head that dissipated quickly. Earthy, grassy hop aroma though slightly skunked & corn flavours evident. Light Bodied. Light maltiness w/ some grassy notes & again slight corn flavours. Dry, somewhat bitter but thin finish.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Bronstein (175) - Göttingen, GERMANY - NOV 17, 2002
Just not may case. No really nice stable head. Inconsistent unbalanced taste with dry and bitter parts. Finish dry, at least most of the times. For me the worst of the german top pilseners.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - NOV 9, 2002
Clear gold; big but quickly dissipating head; aroma is actually a little on the skunky side; fairly bitter profile w/ grassy accent; thin body more reminiscent of a macro than a lean & mean German pils. A bit watery in the finish. Not bad, but considering that it is often spoken of in the same terms as Jever, Bitburger and Wernesgruner, well, it isn’t on the same terms as those beers.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DougShoemaker (3148) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 29, 2002
Sweet corn aroma, pale yellow, medium white fluffy head. Many tiny bubbles, head lasts til the end and a very nice lace too! Grassy taste, good bitterness. Clean and crisp, lots of carbonation. A fair pilsner.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 23, 2002
PGC under a medium size short lasting fluffy white head. Faint bitter hops and hint of egg white aroma. Medium lifting bitter flavoured start. Slightly sweeter grainy middle and and finish. Medium dry bitter aftertaste. I t’s OK but I just can’t get that excited about it.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Drew (2413) - Kent, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2002
little bit o’hops, little bit of grain, tiniest hint of granny smith apple. Krispy finish. this is a.o.k. as far as pils go.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pilsnerrogge (2285) - Finspĺng, SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2002
Golden coloured, fluffy head, good lacework. Hoppy, slightly smoky/peaty aroma.
Crisp, hoppy bitterness that lasts a looooong time. Great pilsener!
