Very light yellow with a doughy odor. Some bitterness and bite, but not really much going on here. Falls flat through the finish. I remember this being better years back. Also Friedrich August had to abdicate following the war...probably required many a case too feel better about that.

Backlog. Tap @ Green Lion Inn, your standard german pilsner, not better than any of the rest.

Bottle. Clear light golden body, white head. Aroma of hay and malt, decent bitterness, with a malty and grassy taste, witha rather perfumed flowery finish.

Looks great in the logo glassware, a half liter tall mug, where the crisp golden color and numerous bubbles rise to hold an attractive, pure white head. The beer has a mile danky aroma and bitter taste and a sweet finish. Its an ok pilsner, hence the score.

Clear straw colour, floral aroma, tiny head, clean crisp flavours, I liked it more than I thought I would.
