Very light yellow with a doughy odor. Some bitterness and bite, but not really much going on here. Falls flat through the finish. I remember this being better years back. Also Friedrich August had to abdicate following the war...probably required many a case too feel better about that.

Bland pale pilsner. As boring as it gets. Drink it warm, and out of a plastic glass, because who gives a damn anyway if you are going to drink this.

Out of the can poured a pale gold, crystal clear with a thin persistent head. Aromas of medium-high floral hop (a touch soapy), moderate pale cracker-like malt, and faint aroma of lemon. Decidedly hoppy and refreshing finish consistent with the style. I enjoyed it.

500ml can BB 16/6/2017 Grainy malt aroma. Poured very pale straw with adequate head/lacing. Slight bitterness is followed by wet cardboard and not much else. A European Pilsner you say ? Really ????

3 liter barrel. Maybe the barrel was the problem, because it didn’t taste good.

Pours a pale, bubbly yellow with a white foam head. Aroma is skunk and grain, as is the flavor. Light, crisp body. Not much hops that I can discern. This is okay.

Bottle. Clear , gold color. Really nice head. Aroma was rather skunky. Taste was actually not too bad. Grains, well balanced with a crisp finish.

Good german Pilsner. Crisp and clear with a hint of the Becks hops and malt or skunk as I call it.

Can. Pours a clear pale gold with a fluffy head, creamy lacing. Straight up biscuity malt aroma, some grass, cardboard. Similar flavour, mostly clean malt, a little bite in the back half with the bittering. Very drinkable, crisp finish, light and refreshing. Simple and decent.
