Appearance: Clear, pale golden body with a small, fizzy white head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling cereal aroma with a light grassiness and notes of cabbage.
Taste: Pils malt flavor upfront, though with less sweetness than I was expecting from the nose. Mild grassy notes. Herbaceous hop flavor with a medium bitterness. Strong vegetal quality throughout. Dry, hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A pilsner with little to offer and lacking much of an identity of its own, it was hard to get too excited about it when Victory Prima was also available. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2005 Can, I’ve had this one sitting in my closet for at least 8 months now. Date code on the bottom says 04/05/05. Poured a clear yellow with a surprisingly creamy looking white head. Too bad it faded fairly quickly, but this beer looked the part anyway. Also a surprisingly fresh straw like nose. Taste brings it back down to earth - metallic (as expected) and a little too watery; but also slightly bitter and refreshing. A surprise for sure, I bought this on a LCBO crap o’ euro lager ratings binge a while ago and this has turned out to be the best of the bunch. I thought it was a Pilsner and not a premium lager, but I’ll let the style police tackle that one. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2007 On draft, Old Heidelberg, Bethel CT. Pours a clear yellow gold under a fluffy foamy dollop of white head. Lots of carbonation visible and left lots of lacing. Aroma is clean pils malt with some light German hops. Nice crisp, lightly bitter flavor with minimal to no DMS. Lingering lightly bitter doughy finish. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel with a nice lightly prickly carbonation level. A nice classic Pilsener, in a great setting. I’m surprised the rates are so low for this beer, I think there may be a drop in quality when in the bottle due to the shipping/storage conditions. It was pretty nice on draft. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
