Feb 24, 2006 Straw colour with a smaller white head. Very crisp and Saazy with a lot of floral aroma. Quite dry for a lager. Goes down easy but nothing really special.

Jul 30, 2009 500 ml bottle purchased at Gomers in Lees Summit, Missouri. Enjoy the best taste before the end 06.08 stamped on label. Pour is slight chill haze golden yellow with a bunch of fine carbonation streaking to the surface. A fluffy three inch pure white head forms, and is fairly slow to fall. Thick lacing left behind as the head falls. There are a couple of small floaties in the beer as well. Aroma of grainy straw and malt, some nice toastiness behind that - slight touch of mineral floral. Nice organic natural nose. Taste is more simple than the nose, straight forward grain straw malt, with the mineral and toastiness in the finish. As with the nose, the taste is clean and natural tasting. Palate is medium to thin, nice active carbonation and a smooth flinty finish. Despite the age, still a nice enough beer.

Jul 4, 2006 Drank this one at Wartburg Castle at Eisenach, Germany. From a bottle. Golden yellow wtih a medium white head. Not a lot of anything here. Everything seemed muted down making it a blt bland. This was a very average pils compared to some of the wonderful ones I had seen up to this point on my German beer tasting expedition.
I found this again at a hotel south of Dresden. This time it came on draft. Much better than the bottle. Need to update my rating.

May 22, 2006 On tap at West Coast Brew Fest: Aroma of hops, slightly grassy and some yeast. Nice clear yellow gold color, nice fluffy head. Mouthfeel is slightly carbonated but still light enough. Flavors were sweet, herbal and clean. Nothing really to brag about but no complaints here either.

Sep 8, 2004 Touch of white head present initially, but dissipates quickly. Golden yellow body, looks like ginger ale. Slightly skunked aroma, sweet hints in background, but skunk is overwhelming. Watery sweet hoips flavour with a hint of apples. Watery mouthfeel, a little disappointing.

Nov 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a light gold with a 2 finger quickly dissipating white head and decent lacing. Nose is standard pilz malt and hops. Taste is pretty much the same, with a dry light hoppy bitter finish. Medium mouth feel. Not bad really, no flaws and easy to drink.

Aug 19, 2003 Canned. I thought this pilsener was pretty ok. Outspoken flavour, not too bitter. Quite nice.
