| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Pristine straw color with expansive but hollow head. Deep grainy, chloriney aroma, light herbal hops. Smooth, languorously textured flavor, a little too fatty and full. Sweetish with very light bitterness, sharp pepperiness. yalnikim (786), Wellington, New Zealand

Pours a very pale gold, bright, with a fading white head. Mild nose - a mixture of slightly stale grainy malt, spicy herbal hops and a soft creamed honey. Dry in the mouth, though with a decent weight. Grainy malt notes give way to a strong herbal bitterness, a little steely, with spicy edges that hint of rocket. Quite bitter in the finish and lingering on quite a while. More honey notes come through late, with further herbal hints - slightly floral this time. A little tired but decently bitter at least. Not at it’s best, admittedly, but I doubt this would make many top ten pilsner lists, in a blind tasting, even on it’s best day. DerWeg (783), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2008 Sampled in Trier, Germany: Aroma is of cereal malts with hops in the background. Poured translucent golden, with a white head the stayed on top of the beer throughout drinking. Flavor is a bit malty and medium dry, not as dry and crisp as a Bitburger, and definitely less hop flavor. Light body. Alright.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 26, 2006 500 mL can. (Why is this a "premium lager" - it says "Pilsner" on the can?) Golden with thick foamy head which gradually reduces. Smells like . . . green. Hops, I guess, but sweeter. Heavily carbonated. Dry - bitter in a good way. Watery in a bad way. Sweetens as it warms. Not much else.
