Clear golden, medium sized, fluffy, lasting head; bready, malty nose, moderate bitter flavour, thin-bodied; unpleasant bitter-metallic aftertaste; down the drain ! In the old glory days of "DDR" Radeberger was the only brewery to use high-class czech barley and hops: Those were the days.....

On tap. A clear, maybe a bit pale golden pilsner with a nice, white head. The aroma is quite clean and hoppy, with some fruityness and grass. Lightly grainy flavor, with fruits and hoppy bitterness as well. Medium, quite gassy mouthfeel. Grassy, slightly grainy finish with a nice hoppyness. A clean, german pilsner, but the flavor isn’t as nice as the aroma, even though there’s not much difference. The aroma is borderline 6, but not there yet. (070801)

The Lure:
A lingering head shrouds the mild fruitiness and dormant haystack. Cereal sweetness eventually surfaces, but nothing here makes me want to take the plunge.

The Festivities:
Toasted malt flavors dwell in a crisp body which seems to lack some girth. Or maybe the carbonation is too important for my tastes. Either way, a partial flavor void is created, as delicate grassy hops and their wooden bitterness build in the last half, attracting dryness. An easy pint to down.

Transcendence:
Burp.

500 ml can. Pale golden colour with a thick creamy head. Nice pale malt aroma, slightly yeasty/bready, grassy/flowery hop character. Nice malty mouthfeel, floral and earthy hop flavour with a decently bitter finish. Good.

Pale golden with a tall, bubbly white head, this has a nice aroma of grainy malts capped with some decent floral hops. Sweet malts prevail in the initial tasting, but the hops soon return to give this a snappy, bitter finish. I can see why Mr. jackson listed this as one of his favorite pilseners.

Pale buttery gold colour. Fairly low carbonation. Light malt and grassy, spicy hops in the aroma. Initially soft on the palate, but the hoppiness builds and finishes dry and crisp, with a quite persistent, bitter aftertaste. A very decent, clean and refreshing, pilsener. At least, I would regard it as a pilsener, rather than a "premium lager". The only thing I wasn’t too keen of was the OTT flash intro on the brewery website. Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured a clear pale color with a moderate frothy white head that mostly lasted and had fair lacing. Moderate hoppy grainy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet hoppy flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. This beer did not meet my expectations.
