This is a wonderful, tasty pilsner, with great malty body balanced with light hop bitterness and a crisp finish. It’s gold with a big, lasting white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is yeast, grain, pine and grapefruit. The taste is nice malty grain , yeast, with strong malty sweetness balanced by nice pine bitterness, leaving a crisp, light, dry finish. It’s smooth, tasty, and very nice.

Bottle at the Blue Danube on High Street in Columbus. Surprised to see this on the beer list - drank many back in Berlin in the early 90s, but haven’t seen this in the US. Solid, crisp, clean, dry, bitter, straight up pilsener. Excellent example of the style.

Draught. Pours typical pilsener yellow/gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is grassy with a bit of pilsener hops. Flavor is smooth, understated malt body with a little grassiness and hops. Not bad, though not too interesting either.

This Pil pours a crystal clear yellow with a bright white head. Metallic malt scent with a little sugar. Maybe a little dough notes. First taste was smooth and a little watery. Typical pilsner, with the bad finish common with Lab Blue. Drinkable.

Medium gold color with a modest but long lasting head and a delicate bready and floral aroma. This brew was bigger in body than the aroma suggested, with a soft and dryish malty flavor, and although it wasn't the hoppiest pils I've ever had, the beer seemed in really good shape and had a crisp freshness to it. Bottle.

(bottle) pours a clear pale yellow colour with a tall dense white head. simple aroma of pale malts and fresh herbal hops. flavour is the same, slightly fruity, with a grainy bitter finish. light to medium body, a little too strongly carbonated to make it thirst-quenching.
