This is a wonderful, tasty pilsner, with great malty body balanced with light hop bitterness and a crisp finish. It’s gold with a big, lasting white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is yeast, grain, pine and grapefruit. The taste is nice malty grain , yeast, with strong malty sweetness balanced by nice pine bitterness, leaving a crisp, light, dry finish. It’s smooth, tasty, and very nice.

What a nice lager! Beautiful golden colour, and very aromatic in the nose. Nice malts, and a little smokey. That reflects the taste aswell. Nice full palate, of malts, little smokey flavour, sweetness but what a hopps sensation in tha aftertaste. It stay’s there for ever. The best foreign lager in my opinion.

Used to be a cult beer from East Germany, available only on night trains in West Germany that used to be catered by Mitropa Sleeper Co. Definitely a high quality, even if volume produced, beer. Quality of ingredients easily detectable. More warmth (malt) than overly lean (to some) Bitburger or Jever Pilsner.

One of the greatest Pilsener style beers in Eastern Germany, very famous. Great taste, very hoppy, but great to drink.

Poured into a flute glass. Drank with a salmon dish, which paired very well. golden yet clear color, firm head, very hoppy middle and nice german sharp finish. Great beer off the tap. Authentic german taste that reminded me of backpacking through europe. One of my top 3 ever.

This is one of my favorite Pils. Great fruity/frothy aroma accompanied by a white fluffy head. Slightly dry/earthy flavor. One of the finest examples of a German Pils.

Golden coloured, fluffy head, good lacework. Hoppy, slightly smoky/peaty aroma. Crisp, hoppy bitterness that lasts a looooong time. Great pilsener!
